PORTRAITS WITH TEXT

In the search for identity/self we look inward and outward as a way to discover whom we are. The things that help shape us are the unique experiences we face in life; moments in time that may have influence on what we become. These paintings/drawings are stories that give insight into the human condition. The images have an element of voyeurism or secrecy about them where the text or story of the individual is a glimpse into the private or inner life of the subjects. Thus, giving the viewer a way to relate to them in a very significant way. Revealing who they are as well as us.
